AntibioticFootprint.net is a public engagement initiative of the Mahidol-Oxford Tropical Medicine Research Unit (MORU), a research collaboration between Mahidol University (Thailand) and the University of Oxford (UK), in partnership with the UK's Wellcome Trust.

Antibiotic Footprint data: Antibiotic consumption data in humans is based on open-access official data of the World Health Organization Report on Surveillance of AntibioticConsumption 2016 - 2018 (WHO Report). European Surveillance of Antimicrobial Consumption Network (ESAC-Net). Antibiotic consumption in animal agriculture is based on open-access official data of the European Surveillance of Veterinary Antimicrobial Consumption (ESVAC), Food and Drug Administration, USA (FDA), Agricultural and Livestock Service, Chile (SAG) and the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fishery, Japan (MAFF). Please note that not all countries reported antibiotic consumption data from our three sectors — the community sector (including primary care sector), the hospital sector, and in animal agriculture.
